‘The Child Support Hustle’ Song - by RAH @ Only Fam Records

Over the years, I have employed nearly every method to spread awareness about the corruption plaguing the child support system. Social media was a phenomenal avenue to reach people already involved with the system. Still, I was searching for a way to grab the younger generation’s attention. I wanted a way to get to those who may have heard of child support but weren’t aware of the brutal realities of being a non-custodial parent (NCP).

And what better way to accomplish this goal but through music? I needed a song. I commissioned artist Rah to write, rap, and produce ‘The Child Support Hustle’ song to highlight the criminality within the child support system in the United States. When discussing the project, Rah said,

I have been following ‘The Child Support Hustle’ for years and have always been moved by The Movement. The corruption impacts mothers, fathers, and children every day, and I wanted to use my voice to speak for the voiceless. Fathers matter.

One of the many injustices surrounding the program is that government officials and citizens often ignore the feelings and the plights that fathers experience when dealing with the institution of child support. While it is true that some mothers are NCPs, the majority of NCPs are fathers. And fathers are treated as second-class citizens when they do not live with their children. Likewise, when they owe child support debt, they are severely punished and criminalized by the court system.

It is rare to find an artist dedicated to professionalism and listening to their client, ensuring they deliver the perfect finished product their customer has solicited. I’ve had the pleasure of witnessing the growth of not only a rapper, but a photographer, a graphic designer, a vlogger, a mentor, an author, a financial advisor, and a confident and capable man. Anyone who has the pleasure of working with such a dynamic and exciting entrepreneur should jump at the chance. Just don’t forget your notebook.
